Illustrator & Branding Expert: Meet Barbara Fondrieschi

Today, we're excited to introduce you to one of our amazing graphic designers, Barbara. Based in beautiful Italy, and with a background in illustration and a deep passion for brand design, Barbara brings a ton of creativity and heart to our projects.

In this interview, she shares her journey, and what makes working at magier so special for her.

But first, here's a little visual introduction Barbara prepared for you:

Q1:  Can you share a bit about your journey before joining magier?

Absolutely! I started out as an illustrator and soon found myself fascinated by brand design. Working with different design studios and clients was a great way to learn and grow and really made me love the field even more.

Q2: What made you choose magier?

I was really excited about joining an international team and seeing how much I could grow here. The chance to work with creative people from all over the world was just too good to pass up!

Q3: How was your experience during the hiring process? Any highlights or something that stood out to you?

The recruitment process was super smooth and welcoming. I remember being impressed by how clear and friendly everyone was. It felt like I was joining a tight-knit team from the get-go, which was awesome.

Q4: For the Designer role, which are the most valuable soft skills that helped you in your journey?

Communication, hands down! It's so important to listen and really get where your teammates are coming from. Being able to explain your ideas clearly and being open to feedback is key to working well together.

Q5: Could you briefly walk us through what a typical work day looks like for you?

No two days are the same, and that's what makes it so exciting! I work on everything from illustrations to branding and graphic design for all kinds of clients. It’s challenging but also super engaging. My absolute highlight is that I get to collaborate with other designers on the team, for sure.

Q6: Which of our core values (Create “WOW”, Pixel Perfect, Own it, Trust & Reliability, Figure it out, Always Communicate) speaks to you the most, and how do you bring it into your work?

"Always Communicate" is the one that really speaks to me. Whether it's with the team, project managers, or clients, good communication is crucial. It's not just about making great designs but also about building a strong, connected team where everyone feels valued.

Q7: What advice would you give to someone thinking about joining magier?

If you're looking for an exciting design journey with a fantastic team and lots of fun, magier is the place to be. It’s an amazing opportunity to grow and explore your creativity. Go for it and apply!

Q8: When you’re not designing, what hobby or passion helps you unwind?

Outside of work, I love taking walks in nature with my puppy and trying out new recipes. It's a great way to unwind and find some inspiration!
